# Agent Pets > Agent Pets is a Chrome extension with a small local helper that turns every Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode and omp coding-agent session into an animated pet walking along the bottom of every browser page. It shows what each agent is doing, and lets you approve permission prompts and reply to agents from any tab. One-time purchase (early-bird $6, regularly $25), lifetime updates, runs entirely on your computer. ## Key facts - What it does: each live coding-agent session gets its own named pet (cats, foxes, axolotls, or your own cat from a photo). A capsule above the pet shows its state: Thinking, Your Turn, Allow Bash?, Done. The toolbar badge counts sessions waiting on you. - Seasonal costumes: every year from 22 October to 1 November the pets dress up for Halloween (witch hats for cats, including your own cat; pumpkins for foxes; a vampire's cape and fangs for axolotls). On by default; turn off with "Seasonal Costumes" in the extension's Settings. - Approvals: when Claude Code, Codex or OpenCode asks permission to run a command or edit a file, the pet bounces; click it and answer Allow, Always or Deny from the page you are on (Codex: Allow or Deny). omp approvals stay in the terminal. The terminal prompt keeps working too. - Codex: `npx getagentpets init` adds hooks to ~/.codex/hooks.json; open Codex once and trust them with `/hooks`. Replies from a pet go to Codex through `codex queue`: an idle Codex starts a turn with them, a busy one takes them next. - Replies: read the agent's latest answer and send its next message without leaving the tab. - Notifications: a desktop notification names the pet that needs you, with Allow and Deny buttons. - Supported agents: Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, omp. - Supported browsers: Google Chrome and Chromium browsers (Arc, Brave, Edge) on macOS, Linux and Windows. On macOS the helper starts at login and updates itself; on Linux and Windows run `npx getagentpets start` yourself and update with `npx getagentpets update`. Requires Node.js 18+. - Install: run `npx getagentpets init` (connects the agents, installs the helper, puts the extension in ~/.agentpets/extension), load the extension via chrome://extensions → Developer mode → Load unpacked, then paste the license key. Not on the Chrome Web Store by design; updates install automatically on macOS (`npx getagentpets update` on Linux and Windows). Can't be installed from a phone. - Privacy: everything runs locally (helper on 127.0.0.1). No account, no cloud, no telemetry. Code and prompts never leave the machine. Only network calls: license check (Dodo Payments) and update checks (npm). - Pricing: one-time purchase, no subscription. Early-bird price $6 while the offer lasts, regularly $25. In India: ₹499 early bird, regularly ₹2,199, plus 18% GST. One license for up to 3 browsers, 7-day no-questions refund. Payments via Dodo Payments (merchant of record). - npm package: https://www.npmjs.com/package/getagentpets - Support: aryan@xlaunch.pro ## Pages - [Agent Pets home](https://www.getagentpets.com/): features, how it works, pricing, FAQ - [How to get Claude Code notifications](https://www.getagentpets.com/claude-code-notifications): built-in desktop notifications, terminal bell, Notification hooks for macOS and Linux, and approving permission prompts from the browser - [Claude Code notifications not working?
